Nika Paposhvili is working for the Ilia State University as a researcher. He is involved in bird conservation and research programs such as “Ecology and evolution of avian influenza virus (AIV) in wild birds in Georgia”; "Investigating breeding waterbirds in the Javakheti region" and "Monitoring wintering waterbirds in major wetlands of Georgia".
He is leading the conservation project "Conservation of Velvet Scoter on Tabatskuri Lake in Georgia" over the past three years. He is an excellent birdwatching guide with around five years guiding experience, ornithologist, wildlife photographer and Georgia’s one of the leading bird conservationist.
