Our Story

Ecotours Georgia was established by a group of dedicated wildlife conservationists and nature lovers to develop sustainable tourism in Georgia, to involve local communities in tourism related projects and help conserve our country's wonderful flora and fauna. Our team has significant experience of working for nature conservation NGOs and of welcoming visitors to our country.Team members have contributed to a number of important national conservation projects, including - Caucasian Black Grouse, The Vultures of Georgia, Important Bird Areas in Georgia etc. Our staff have also worked on the two key books on the birds of Georgia - The Raptors and Owls of Georgia and The Birdwatching Guide to Georgia.

As part of our commitment to nature conservation and the development of future Georgian ecologists, many of us continue to work with the Ilia State University, teaching on Batchelor and Masters programmes and supporting important nature conservation research projects. We have set up our first company in 2003 and since then we have been pleased to have played a small part in sharing with others the many wonders of Georgia.
